2. Boulder has been called the “Gore-Tex Vortex” by Outside magazine and may very well be the fittest town in America. Known for its great outdoors, Boulder offers plenty of opportunities for biking, hiking, and rock climbing. Many world-class athletes call Boulder “home.”

3. Boulder has a paid Bicycle Ambassador! Another community program gives bikes to homeless people in exchange for work. You can get anywhere on a bike almost as fast as in a car.

4. According to American City Business Journals, Boulder has a higher percentage of college and post-college graduates than anywhere else in the country.

5. Boulder is surrounded by a wonderful greenbelt with 120 miles of trails. The city first purchased open space, the glorious Chautauqua Park, more than a hundred years ago.
